NOW HERES THE INTERVIEW WITH THESE GUYS
1. Introduce yourselves please guys, tell Us what you do in the band , and throw in some extra what you do and what your influencies are….
Ozmar: I play guitar and my influences are Parkway Drive, August Burns Red, In Flames and Darkest Hour. Adam is the frontman and his influences are Machine Head, Brujeria and Six Feet Under. Gil Sanabria plays Bass and his influences are Dark Tranquility, Mercenary and Unearth. Nelson Hiraldo plays Guitar and Clean vocals and his influences are A Day To Remember, Avenged Sevenfold and Dream Theater. Agujita play drums and his influences are Fear Factory, Die Cast and For Today.
Adam: I think Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive are our main influences as a band, but we have our individual influences as musicians are are very varied, so that makes our sound a little different from the traditional metalcore sound.
2. How you guys put this together? How long youve been playing now?
Ozmar: The band was formed by me and Nelson after Ron P. Hueso broke up 3 years ago. We started writing music by ourselves while getting drunk, pretty much every single weekend, wondering how awesome would be to finally be in a band that actually play the music that we want, we wrote 5 songs and contacted our friend Javier Marquez “Agujita” (former drummer at Ron P. Hueso, Vieja Estirpe and Orquesta La Venganza) to give them a hand with their new project. Adam was contacted to play in the band as a bassist but due circumstances Adam took the place as frontman and he contacted Gil to play bass. A fun fact is that Gil actually doesn’t play bass, this is his first time. He plays guitar but he decided to give us a hand and here we are today.
Adam: Ozmar and I were talking about it a long time ago, every time we seen each other we spoke about it, but never did anything until now, I would say about 6 months
.3.What does Indiference want to project through their music ?
Adam: Man, people have become so sensitive and easily offended lately, we just want to portrait a few realities with our lyrics, we go from insulting that person you hate to missing your ex, we are pretty emotionally unstable in our lyrics, almost like a serious Dethklok.
Ozmar: We want to bring something different to the table. There are a lot of great bands in PR scene but we wanted to sound in a way that people can remember us by being unique.
4. Hows the aceptante for you guys so far? Hows the support? I just saw you guys perform in the Tatto Tavern in Luquillo PR, that was insane!, great energy and stage presence .
Nelson: We’re really surprised so far. The acceptance has been great! Besides our friends there are a lot of people really into our music. The critics have been really positive and we’re proud of that, we thanks all of you guys for making us feel so welcomed. Thanks by the way about the Tattoo Tavern show, we’re glad you liked it, we try to put all of our energy everytime we go out to the stage and enjoy every show like it could be the last.
5. What can we expect from Indiferente for the rest of this year? What are your expectations on short and long terms? and what are your golas as a band?
Agujita:We will be performing everywhere we get invited for the moment, while we keep recording new material.Adam: I think that the rock scene is just one scene, so the more different the people we can reach its better for us. We are planning about inviting guest musicians from our local scene to record with us too. 6. Any Albums coming out soon?
Gil: Right now we’re finishing some details in another single that you can expect soon, it’s called “Our Paths Diverged”. After that we want to do some serious and professional EP along with a music video, something different, not the abandoned warehouse typical scenario, so all of you guys can enjoy, stay tuned!
Adam: Also, Gil specializes in filming, fight and action scenes, so the video can be pretty badass having him as an asset.
7. You got your new single “ Drama Queen” up in Youtube and social media, Who wrote the lyrics to this song? Can you explain the meaning of this song to you ? and what message you want the people to get through this single?
Ozmar: The song “Drama Queen” was wrote by me. A lot of people think that the song is about some self-centered spoiled annoying bitch or something like that but the song is really an inside joke of the band. The song is inspired in people who suffocate everyone with their negativity (like the song actually says in some verse), a person that is always making excuses for everything and blaming others for everything that goes wrong. It's about people that are always complaining but don't do anything meaningful with their life. The kind of people that you don’t really want close to you because you will not enjoy their company, they get you down and drown you with their bad vives.
8. What next for you guys?
Adam: Lots of stuff. For us image plays an important part and due to the venues we've playing lately it wasn't practical to make everything we wanted, but we will be incorporating that. In terms of big presentations we are opening for the concert of death metal super-group Gruesome on August 22, also we are planning another big show on the Rock Tavern in Las Piedras, but that's still on the table.
9. Any Shout outs ?? Special Thanks ???
Adam: From my part way too many people, the guys from Calamity, Zafakon and Fullminator for the support, Modules, Lure the Chaos and Refraction for helping us pull out our debut show. The really important ones that follow our shows everywhere, Tony and Moraima, Giselle, Julio and Jey, Rafy, Lou, Karl Demasiau, Juanchi ContrAtaque, businesses like SuperBar, Ct Naz from Brewmasters, Tattoo Tavern, etc. And all the people that in any way support us.
